A Taste of Africa Fundraising Night

Friday 25th October 2019 - Lifesaving Victoria, 200 The Boulevard Port Melbourne

On Friday 25th October at Lifesaving Victoria, we held a fundraiser and celebration of African culture, cuisine and art!

Celebrating the diversity present in the City of Port Philip and our surrounding areas, the event was a showcase of our newest residents and community projects.

The night consisted of music, an African feast featuring cuisines from around Africa, auctions, dancing and entertainment. With over 180 guests attending, it was a fantastic night of networking and learning about our projects in Uganda.

The event was an important fundraiser for our cancer and HIV/Aids awareness and immunization programs, with proceeds used to improve the lives of youth and young adults in Uganda who are afflicted with preventable and treatable diseases. Learn more about our outreach programs below.

All proceeds from the night go directly towards our outreach and sponsrship programs in Uganda:

We also had a number of exhibitors and charity partners showcasing their projects.

Our sponsors were key to making this event a fantastic night!
